Help Get Derek Rubis to the Olympic Trials

First post of 2012!  I am now, 100 percent for sure, going to be posting every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

Ok at this point if you don’t know who Derek Rubis is, then you’re not a very big fan of Track and Field.  That, or you don’t have a facebook.

Ok well as we all know, there probably isn’t a person in the world who is a bigger fan of track than Derek Rubis (Lynn Cox is a close runner up though).

So a group was started by some nice elite runners on Facebook to raise money to get Derek to the Olympic Trials.  The Facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/208878542533993/

I know anybody reading this could easily donate 10 dollars, and it’d really mean a lot to him.

Elite and non-elite athletes alike have been commenting on the page emphasizing how great it would be for him to get there, so  start your new year out by helping get Track and Field’s biggest fan to the biggest meet in the country this year.
